Query on travel

I'm based on Guam and My friend and I are set to travel to New York this September to watch the Sept. 9 game between the yankees and the red sox. (1) Where's the best place/site to purchase game tickets? (2) Is there a realistic chance for us to watch the Patriots (vs. Raiders) game in Foxboro Sept 8, 9pm and still make it to the yankees game the next day on the 9th?

If you already had tickets to both games, then it certainly would be feasible to attend both of them -- Foxboro is about 4 hours' travel by car from NYC.

Unfortunately, it might be too late to get tickets in any formal, legal way (i.e., not from scalpers outside the game).

Since almost every thread on on this board is a "Query on travel", you might get more responses if you re-post your question with a more specific title like "Red Sox and Patriots games in September"

Thanks.l No tickets yet. Guess I would have to rely on scalpers. I'm also looking at eventinventory.com.

All the Yankees/Red Sox games sold out the day the tickets went on sale.

You can sometimes get tickets on e-bay (but be sure the buyer is relialbe) for less than the scalpers.

Assuming you need to use an on-line scalper figure you will have to pay at least twice face value for the tickets - perhaps more. (We looked and the better $100 seats are going for about $350 each - the not so good ones are more like $250. But prices may go up the closer you get to the game.)

Do check a range of scalpers - they don;t all have the same tickets - and there are one or two that do charge less (but perhaps only 5-10% less though).

Since Boston and New York are only about 4 hours apart there's no reason you couldn;t see both - esp since the Yankee game is at night - assuming you can get tickets for the former.
