Queer eye for the Straight Guy

Any chance of seeing these guys in action. I'll be NYC in May. Also, what is the hottest restaurant in NYC. Thanks

HowardR Mar 16th, 2004 06:44 AM

Whatever restaurant is deemed the hottest, you're probably already too late for May reservations! It's probably that hot!

Keena, you might want to contact Scout Productions (producer of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy) for information about the show, their telephone number is 212-581-8200, or you can e-mail them at [email protected]

Check these resturants out
The Lever House,Biltmore Room,Asia de Cuba,Gotham Bar & grill,

There is no one "hottest" in NYC. Gramercy Tavern is still viewed by most as the "best." The meatpacking district bordering the village & Chelsea is hot.

The Fab Five may not be available as they've been booked to overhaul Dick Cheney, bunker and all. Needs work on his tjuzssing.

GoTravel Mar 18th, 2004 02:40 PM

I'd say pinning down the Fab Five would be difficult during shooting. They are all over the place. See if they are making public appearances.

You can find Thom having replaced Kirstie Alley in all the Pier 1 commercials! IMO, much better choice.

Margie Mar 18th, 2004 02:47 PM

I agree Karen - the new commercials are much better! I'm not a huge Kristie Alley fan, but could they have made her any more unattractive and obnoxious in those ads? Love the new ones!

GoTravel Mar 18th, 2004 02:48 PM

Agree with McLaurie about the restaurants however, whatever opens in the AOL Time Warner Building has the most buzz. Per Se, Tomas Kellers restaurant is supposed to be good.

I know Charlie Trotter and Jean-Georges Vongerichten are also opening restaurants soon if they haven't already.

I thought Ms. Alley looked like a drag queen in the Pier 1 ads. Thom's a big improvement.

Margie Mar 18th, 2004 04:38 PM

The green pouffy dress was the worst, and the screeching didn't help either.

Patrick Mar 18th, 2004 05:27 PM

Actually I think Kirstey Alley needed the services of the Queer Eye guy more than Pier 1 did.

Rosemary1 Mar 18th, 2004 05:46 PM

Did Kirstie gain about 50 lbs or was it that horrible dress? I vote for the former. Major Oink-fest!

I agree with the rest that Thom has been pretty hot recently - I couldn't get in without a reservation even when I was an in-house guest at 60 Thompson. Also try Town at Chambers Hotel - very chic decor with lovely waitstaff (I also bumped into Martha Stewart when I was there...)
