Queen-sized beds in Williamsburg??
 

Every place I check in Williamsburg has 2 double beds (we need 2 beds, not 1 king). Those are just too small for our family. Anyone know of a place with queen-sized beds? Also refrigerator if possible, and reasonably priced. (Am I asking too much??) Thanks in advance!

Why in the world are two double beds not enough? Are you extremely large people?

This is for Sam: <BR> <BR>Most people want to have at least as much room as a twin bed. <BR>A double bed is 54" wide - half of which is the same width as a crib. <BR>A queen bed is 60" wide - half of which is the same width as a twin. <BR> <BR>One does not have to be an "extremely large" person to want to a bit of comfort while sleeping. <BR> <BR>

And so what if they *are* extremely large people? Who cares? <BR> <BR>Sam, FYI: A regular double bed is fine for my husband and I to share. But when we travel as a family -- mother, father, and two teenage children, one boy and one girl -- mom sleeps with daughter and dad sleeps with son. We each want a little space to ourselves. Queen-size beds are just a bit more comfy. And by the way, none of us is taller than 5-feet,5-inches and 135 lbs.

Sam, <BR> <BR>You are sure showing your lack of comprehension. And quite frankly, your comment was ugly. Makes me wonder what kind of an ignoramus you are. Our family will be traveling with one, possibly two, physically limited older women. Physiologically, older people usually have a little more trouble sleeping. They usually get up more often in the middle of the night. My husband and I had a double bed when we were first married and it caused him to have extreme backaches due to always sleeping in a turned and cramped position. We swore them off forever. Not that any of this is your business, but next time you might stop and THINK. DUH.

To JR: I travel a lot with my parents, who are in their mid and late 70's. My Mother, who is 5'6 and 130 pounds, has heart problems. She says she cannot sleep with anyone unless it is on a king size bed. Since I cannot sleep with my Dad, a rolloway would be needed and rolloways are usually unbearable. You may say, "well, just get two rooms." However, my parents grew up during the Depression, and they find it wasteful to spend the money for two rooms. They won't let me pay for the room, as much as I have tried. Sometimes I have to sleep on a rolloway when nothing else is available, but I always look for a chain with a pull out sofa, such as Embassy Suites. I get a little more privacy, and Mom sleeps better. Hi JR: <BR>Ignore the stupidity on this thread! I think that a suite what suit your purpose, bed for mom and dad, one for one of the kids and a pullout couch for the other kid. I do not know if Comfort or Embassy have a location in the area. Might want to check their website. I persaonally prefer Embassy. Have Fun!!!! <BR>

Hi again: <BR>The Sleep Inn in Williamsburg advertises 2 queen beds in the room with a variety of prices from 49-129 dollars a night. Hope this helps!

Guess Sam is one of those poor pathetic little people that feels bad attention is better than no attention at all.

I have to admit I was curious as to why double beds weren't good enough, as they are the standard in most hotels. In fact, I didn't even realize hotels HAD rooms with two queens. I always get a king or double/double when I travel.
