Public Transportation LAX to Union Station

Is there a bus or train I can take from Los Angeles airport to Union Station? I tried calling the Metro for info and have been on hold for almost 1/2 hour?
Thanks for your help and what would it cost?

Yes. You can take the G Shuttle from LAX (stops outside Baggage Claim at all terminals) to the Aviation Station. Wait at bus bay 2, then hop on the Metro Bus 439. That will take you about an hour and a half and cost $1.75. If you have luggage, these buses can get very crowded. I urge you to consider a shared van service like SuperShuttle.

Isn't there also a bus service that goes to the end of the green line?

Yes. Just type in LAX to Union Station on mta.net to get the shuttle times to the green line.

Use rjw's suggestion(s): Either Metro Bus 439 or a shuttle van service.

In order to go by train(s), you'd have to take the Green Line, transfer to the Blue Line and transfer again to the Red Line. The Blue Line can be very crowded, and with luggage you might have to stand. The cost v. the bus is about the same.
