Public transportation from Chicago Midway

We are considering a long weekend trip to Chicago Dec. 10-13. We would fly into Midway. Is there public transportation available from the airport to the downtown? I haven't made reservations yet, but would probably attempt to get a downtown hotel through Priceline.

The orange line el will take you from the airport to the loop in about 30 minutes. Very easy. Have fun in Chicago!

yep, follow city train signs at the airport, right to the Orange line, it brings you into the loop. You can cab or switch to the redline in the loop to your final destination $1.75 each, by your "card" at the kiosk at the airport. If you will be bouncing around the city, get a $5 24 hr pass. Enjoy!

It's been a while since I've used Midway, but I remember being pretty impressed with the speed and smoothness of the Orange line from Midway compared to the Blue line from O'Hare. Definitely the best way to go.
