I think I posted this to the Black hole, not sure where it went. Hope this gets to Hawaii threads

I have heard that Pua Kea Golf course may be closing for a year or 2 to re do all greens and Fairways and build a new club house.

Does anyone have any info on this.

I called -- this year Puakea Golf Course is re-doing all their bunkers. This has no impact on golfers.

The course owners (Grove Farm) are _hoping_ to redo all the greens in 2007. If it happens, the course will be closed for just 6-7 months.

The clubhouse is still a dream...with restoration of that gorgeous old mansion, a distinct possibility.

As much time as I spend in the sand traps, I can use the chairs there!! But i have to admire your persistance.

Using that old Mansion would be a dream. It looks as if it has seen much better days, but what a glorius clubhouse that would make. It seems a shame not to be able to use it.
