provincetown lunch places

Hello,

I am planning a trip to Provincetown and would like a nice place to have lunch. Most of the recommended restaurants are closed from 1 - 6. I would like to go somewhere around 2. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Carl

My favorites are both open at that time. At least I think they are -
The Lobster Pot -

Bubala's by the Bay - and sit outside to watch folks walk by

I "third" Lobster Pot. Also recommend The Surf (or Surf Club) not sure of the name but it is located on McMillan Wharf. Food is delicious, reasonable, & there is a wrap-around deck overlooking the harbor.

You will find that there are many options in season. I would suggest if you are considering Lobstaer Pot, make a reservation. For most of the others you may find a short line. Another suggestion is Pepe's wharf (371 Commercial Street). It isn't always "found" by day trippers. They have a nice combination of Portugese and seafood. Eat outside upstairs - great view.

We had lunch at Fazzini's in Provincetown in May. The mussels and linguine were very good. It was quite busy.

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately the Lobster Pot doesn't take reservations. Is Bubala's very far from the Bull Ring Wharf? We'd like somewhere near there, but need somewhere that I can make reservations at.

I don't believe Bubala's takes a lunch res. Fanizzi may, but it is in the East end of town. You might try "Patio" or "Waterford" for a reservation - They are close to Bull Ring. What day of the week and what time of year are you looking at?

Reservations for lunch?
I don't think I've ever made reservations for lunch in Ptown.
Definitely not at Bubala's. If I'm going to sit outside, I like Bubala's so you can watch people go by.
I've eaten at the Lobster Pot for dinner without reservations before. Once the wait was long and we ate at the bar.
Reservations for dinner, yes.
But lunch? I haven't.

I've been going to Ptown for 40 years most every year, day trips weekend trips, off season trips and I say, why not reservations for lunch~ especially if you're going to a tourist trap with servicable food to pretty decent food? Call or stop by and request to be on a waiting list for prime seating. Who wants to sit in the middle of a tourist trap, when you can get the best seat in the house and linger. Tip well!!!
