Providence to Boston?

We're flying into Providence, RI and need to get to Boston- hopefully without renting a car. What are our options?

Thanks

There is regular train service between the two cities.

You can take the Bonanza bus from T.F. Green Airport to Boston or Amtrak. Check out -
http://www.bonanzabus.com/greenma.htm
for schedules.

Cab's about $100. Yes, I did it once when I flew the red-eye to Boston (arriving at 6:30 a.m.), and didn't feel like waiting around for the bus service to start.

In addition to Amtrak, there is commuter rail service by Mass. Bay Transp. Auth. See www.mbta.com for timetables. Fare is $5.75, trip runs about an hour, and schedule favors rush hour traffic to Boston in a.m. and to Prov. in p.m.
