Providence, RI with a 1 year old

I am taking my 1 year old daughter to Providence for a few days next week (September 10 to 13). We are staying at the Westin. Could you please provide me with some kid friendly restruants and places to visit with her?

Thanks.

There is the Providence Place Mall there, but can't help otherwise as far as kid stuff to do. I think the Roger Williams Zoo is not too far away. You can also check to see if Waterfire will be having an event there www.waterfire.com.

Second Providence Place mall for a meal. It's connected to the Westin via walkway. They have a food court, Cheesecake Factor, and Uno's.

If you have a car, Newport isn't far away. Your daughter might enjoy a boat tour such as the Spirit of Newport.

While I'm sure there are families in Providence, its really a college town. There are (I believe) 5 colleges in and around Providence. I know because my son attends college there and there are alot of college kids around! Your best bet might be to get in your car and get outside of Providence.
