Providence RI inOctober

4 of us friends will be visiting Providence this October. We only get to see each one weekend a year and this year I'm assigned to find hotel etc. Has anyone stayed at Biltmore Hotel, State House Inn or Old Court Bed & Breakfast? Any restaurant recommendations? Interesting things to do? Thanks.

Definitely take a day to explore Newport. This is a wonderful seaport with Mansions, cobblestone streets, great bars & restaurants, beaches, history, etc.

Do the mansion tour, walk the cliff walk which overlooks the Atlantic and is at the backyards of great mansions, have lunch at Christy's overlooking the harbor and sailboats, Dinner at Scales and Shells for fresh seafood with a bustling open kitchen atmosphere, shop at the great antique stores, have a microbrew or fine wine in a pub, bike the perimeter of the town, etc.

October is an ideal time to visit. This town is so quaint, charming, and romantic.

Have fun!
