Providence area seafood

I will be in Providence in a week & a half and am looking for a yummy, fresh seafood restaurant that would offer a good late lunch/early dinner for DH & me on a Wednesday.

Too bad you arent coming during the warmer months when all the clam shacks down on the coast are open.

Great seafood restaurants in Providence in my opinion would be:

Hemenway's Seafood Grill and Oyster Bar on south main st.

Legal Seafoods on Post Rd. in Warwick. Excellent Clam Chowder.

If you are willing to drive a half our out of your way to Newport there is:

Scales and Shells on Lower Thames. Voted Best in RI.

The Black Pearl on Bannister Wharf. They have been voted having the best clam chowder in the US.

Thank you for the tips. I'll be in town for a figure skating competition & this is the one free afternoon I have where I won't be at the rink.
