Property on Anini Beach
Is anyone familiar with this property (Anini Lani Kai) on Anini Beach -
http://www.vrbo.com/77508 Beachfront and affordable - looks good but would like first hand references if possible. |
I used google to find more info on this place -- more photos here:
http://www.hawaiianbeachrentals.com/...iniLaniKai.htm http://www.aninialoha.com/aninilanikai/index.htm http://www.serenity-rentals.com/kaua...i-lani-kai.htm The cottage is indeed beachfront, next to the beach park and across the street from the polo field. |
Thanks auntiemaria! Is being next to the beach park and across the street from the polo field a good thing?
Since you are familiar with the area - let me ask about another place -- Daystar property - anini beach -- of course more money but it looks wonderful. Possibly it is up for sale since the web site links to a real estate agency -- but curious what you think of this one too. Your insights are really helpful. Thanks. http://www.daystarproperties.com/ |
Anini Lani Kai is beach-shack-funky -- and yes, you might have more beach traffic and noise because of its proximity to the popular beach park...especially on a weekend.
The daystarproperties.com site would be my personal choice, primarily because it's further down from the park. I haven't been inside, but I've driven past it often...great location. As for it being handled by a real estate company, that's pretty normal in Hawai`i. Many real estate companies here handle both sales and vacation rentals. Additionally, all vacation rental companies in the state are _required_ to have a licensed real estate broker on staff. Keeps 'em honest! 8-) |
Four years ago, my husband and I rented the daystar property on Anini Beach. It was wonderful - first class, with a great location, unique furnishings, even a neighbor dog who took up residence on our porch -now how's that for making you feel at home? :D
I posted a trip report here, and many people rented that house as a result, so it does book up fast. Check for availability before you get your hopes up. The name on that website, Lee C, is actually the owner I believe. |
Daystar property it is -- thanks for the recommendation! We're planning for next Sept. so fortunately availability is not a problem. Yes, it is more money than we had originally planned to spend but I think it is better to stay someplace special for 9 or 10 nights than stay someplace less appealing for 14 nights. At least that is how I rationalize it - also by planning this far in advance we can use our ff miles so we won't have that expense. Somehow I can always rationalize spending more money!
Thanks again. |
