Producers vs Movin Out
 

Which is a better pick for a family, the Producers or Movin Out?

How old are the kids? The Producers is great but some of the humor is not appropriate for young children. I think it would be fine for teens. I don't know about Movin' Out.

Some of the humor in the Producers will probably go over the head of a 10 year old but that doesn't me he/she wouldn't enjoy it. There is some 'gay' steroetype humor. I think Movin Out is more of a dance performance than an actual play with a story. If the kids enjoy dance and Billy Joel, they should like it, if not, they may be bored, especially the 10 year old. It does sound like a nice production and people on this board seem to enjoy it. Read the review in today's times, NYTimes.com. Hairspray is great if you can get tickets.

Have to agree, as much as I love the Producers...the humor will most likely go over their head. Shows like Lion King, Beauty and the Beast are more appropriate for families. I loved Movin'Out but again, I think the kids may be bored.
