Princeville Hotel - Kauai

I'm staying at Princeville Hotel next month. Which floor(s) would be ideal for the combinations of the best possible views and also for being able to hear the sounds of the waves/water? I believe there are 10 total floors in 3 separate buildings...

Lighten up, relax and enjoy. Whatever room you get will be great. You will have a wonderful time, you will not hear waves crashing, but you will fall in love with the Napali Coast and the beaches that precede it and have a wonderful trip. The week before you leave you could call the front desk manager and ask for the best room available as you are very excited about your first stay....relax and have a wonderful vacation

I hope you'll be able to enjoy the view,it rained and was foggy the entire time we were there;in fact,we left and went to Maui. The sun was shining there.

We had a suite that was in the main building on the same level as the reception desk and main lobby. It faced both the bay and had a great sunset view.

Can't give a better description than to say that you passed the Salon and gift shop on the way to/from our room to the main lobby. It was definately the quieter part of the hotel.

I, like Ryan, stayed on the same floor as the reception area in a Junior Suite. It was beyond fabulous. I thought that I wanted to be closer to the pool and the beach but the quite and privacy of that location suited me very well. The buildings stairstep down to the beach/pool area and you take an elevator from building to building as you make your way down. You made a great choice. Enjoy!
I stayed in one of the lower graded rooms (garden/mountain view) since it was a freebie on points. When I went in the room I thought it was the best view. i can't imagine that the ocean view rooms can be that much better. we lloked right into hanalei bay. Only the bottom floor rooms with patios are close enough to hear the waves (if they are big enough). If you stay on the upper floors it's a walk to the beach area because you have to take two seperate elevators to get all the way down. In the end it really doesn't matter because this is a fabulous hotel with great rooms and service. We stayed at the Hyatt Poipu after the Princeville and it was a little bit of a letdown in quality and service.
