Princess Cruise to Italy & Greece

We are strongly thinking of taking a Princess cruise to Italy and Greece. Feedback from anyone who's gone on this cruise or any recommendations on other cruise lines that go to these destinations are appreciated. Also, recommendations on what to do when we offboard is great. It will be our first trip to Europe but our 5th cruise. Thanks!

Try the Europe board and also go to the travel forums list and click on "others" and you will see a cruise category listed. Try that also. The Europe board does not have a lot of cruise information but you should get some response. The cruise topic might be your best bet.

Go to www.cruisecritic.com, you'll find lots of info. We just completed the Golden Princess Western Europe and it was great. You can find my cruise review on the 1st page of cruisecritic's message board. Have a great trip.

After doing a fair amount of research, my husband and I and our travel companion couple just booked a 2006 Princess cruise (Golden Princess) to the Greek Isles with some Italian and Turkish destinations as well. Everything I saw suggests it will be good.

We loved our October, 2004 Venice to Athens cruise on Oceania so much that we booked Barcelona to Lisbon for November, 2005.

Oceania is so perfect for us that I'll go almost anywhere they're sailing.

For most ports, we researched the things we like to do, and toured on our own.

Last Aug/Sept we did a princess cruise from Barcelona to Venice, stopped in Rome, Florence, Naples, Turkey and Greece we loved it. We usually do only small ships so were very very surprised that we enjoyed this trip

But it was great
