The comparison sites usually give me a provider with a lower price than the ones where I have a discount available.

Really? I'm not finding that at all. For example, the lowest I found on your Travelocity site for my itinerary was Avis at $78, not the price of $50 I got with a Costco travel code. I'm not just talking about the middling AAA discount, but things like discount codes you look up (as in the Mousesaver's site given above). And recently I've been finding the Costco Travel code is doing me the MOST good (note: that is different from a Costco membership code)

And kelliebellie, I agree. I haven't used Hertz in years as they are way higher than anyone. I think many people with great corporate accounts get deals with Hertz, but I sure can't find them.

Oh, and Keith, on the Travelocity site the lowest they show for my itinerary from Naples to FLL is $41.90 which is with Dollar, but when I enter a TARR code (damn, I don't even remember where I got that one, but I use it a lot) on Dollar's own website-- it drops to $ 29.22.

Have you tried clicking on the "Need a different drop off location or one-way rental?" link at Travelocity?

It brings up more opions including "6
Do you have any car company preferences or discounts?" If you click yes, it has a drop down where you can plug in discounts for several rental companies.

Oh yea. I was ONLY doing one way rentals. There'd have been no point otherwise.

I guess I could submit separate codes for several companies, but only one at a time, right? But I guess I just don't get at that point what was the advantage of using the multiple site to begin with other than to find a list of agencies that might have service between my two cities. Once I went to Dollar, for example, I submitted a dozen different codes with each one bringing up a different price. Comparing one code submitted for Avis on Travelocity to one particular code I had submitted for Dollar on Travelocity wouldn't really be much of a true comparison.

I guess all I'm saying, and all I've really learned from this is that "there is no shortcut" to bottom line prices.

No, you can post several discount ocdes for different companies at the same time.
