Cheapest way to get to Key West?
Thinking about going to Key West. If we flew into Miami or Ft. Lauderdale is there any other means of transportation to Key West besides renting a car and driving? DH doesn't really want to do the 4 hr drive from Miami or longer from Ft. Lauderdale.

Understand that other ground transportation won't be quicker, and is unlikely to be cheaper, than a rental car.
My suggestion would be to rent a car, take two days, and stay overnight about halfway--say, in the Marathon area. Or even in Hawks Cay, which would be about halfway from Miami.
