Priceline nyc x-mas eve,
Does anyone have any experience on getting a hotel room by bidding on priceline, I was thinking of taking a chance...........thanks so much
|
Lots of people have experience bidding on priceline.
The best sources of information are www.biddingfortravel.com and www.betterbidding.com. You could check both sites to see if people have posted winning bids for Christmas Eve to see what rates they're getting. Have you done your homework to know what the going rates are through other channels? |
Thousands of people do it. If you go to the websites mentioned above you'll see what hotels people got for what price. Someone has gotten the Hilton Times Square 12/24- 12/26/05 for $111/night by bidding 4 star in midtown west.
If you just need a room for 2 for 1 night, there are also some terrific prices on quikbook.com if bidding worries you. (If you need more than 2 in the room, Priceline is not for you). |
Never hurts to try! Have a back up reservation that you can cancel if you win on PL. Also look at NYC hotel deals on travelzoo.com

Excellent! Go to the Hyatt's website and sign up for their (free) Passport program - you'll enjoy complimentary coffee, newspaper etc.
