Priceline hotels question

Is there a way to find out - or request - specific needs for hotels on Priceline? Other than research or call several hotels first? Specifically, I needed a sofa bed in a separate living room/suite type of room. I often use Priceline for a regular room, but this time I wasn't sure if Priceline was the right venue. Does anyone have any suggestions? thanks!

I recommend you go to biddingfortravel.com. I use the goldmine of info there for crafting a bid before I submit it on priceline. There is also a moderator who may be able to answer this specific question for you.

No, Priceline only guarantees lodging for 2 people. You will receive a standard room and there is no way to target a specific hotel chain such as embassy suites. They can however guarantee a handicapped room, and if one is not availible you will get your money back.

As travelin indicates, if you have specific needs -- even just for two separate beds in one room -- then PL is not for you.

OK! Thank you! I've got the answer and I appreciate the help.

That is why when we use Priceline for family travel, we either get 2 rooms or book some other way. When we have booked 2 rooms, we call hotel to see if they could be adjoining (rarely possible) or near each other. We have had success getting rooms on same floor near each other, but that will not work if you are asking for purpose of traveling with little kids.

You can pick this option on hotwire. \

For your needs, priceline is out.
