Priceline hotel question?
Is there any way to request a room with 2 beds?
|
When you get your hotel, call them to confirm and request it.
|
But just remember that Priceline does not guarantee 2 beds - in some locations, especially larger and congested cities (such as NYC, SF) this request will not be honored. Just know there is a risk you will not get 2 beds.
|
The only time I've ever gotten two beds on a priceline room, and I've used priceline 30 or 40 times, was downtown Atlanta.
I've never gotten two beds in NYC, Boston, Miami, or Chicago. |
GoTravel, does that mean you never tried to get two beds in those places, or in all of them you DID try but couldn't get them?
|
But did you ask for two beds?
NYC is the only location for which biddingfortravel specifically warns that there's a high likelihood of only one bed. In most other cities, there's a good chance that you'll get your two beds if you call in advance. But don't use PL if you *must* have two beds. |
Yes, I've tried to get two beds in all the places except NYC and was unable.
In all fairness, the only place I use priceline in Miami is South Beach and the rooms are teeny tiny and double/double rooms aren't the norm. In Chicago I got stuck in the middle of the IT&ME show at McCormick Center (Incentive Travel & Meeting Excecutives) show and ended up sharing a king be with one of my girlfriends. A second time with my mother. Ditto for Boston. |
In any big city you need to assume Priceline means one bed. It might be possible to get two - but often is not.
If in smaller cities - or other places where most rooms have two beds - like Las Vegas - your chances will be much better - but you distinctly have no guarantee - or recourse. |
We got two beds in NYC at the Milennium Broadway.
|
I've always gotten one bed when I asked the hotel for one; and I've gotten two beds when I asked the hotel for two.
