Priceline Help

Hello. What is the lowest that anyone has gotten a hotel on Priceline for 4-star in Times Square? I'm looking at the 1st week of April. Any other places to look for something cheap?

Have you looked at betterbidding.com and biddingfortravel.com? They maintain lists of exactly that sort of information.

Your question prompted me to look on biddingfortravel.com for an answer. I found that Priceline has just added the Times Square area as a separate area to bid. (It used to be part of midtown west) so there's no way to even look back a year ago to answer your question. I do see that the TS hotels go for more than the MTW hotels (which in my view is stupid, but that's only my opinion). Anyway, I think $130 is probably the lowest you'd get a 4* but Priceline bids are often only won at the last minute. You should book something cancelable as a backup. Travelzoo.com often has good deals but not generally below %160/night in TS.

Easyclicktravel.com is another terrific resource.

With regard to Priceline, now that you can re-bid after 24 hours, just keep trying and keep an eye on winning bids at BetterBidding and BiddingforTravel.

Take a look at Hotwire, too. Sometimes a great deal pops up.

Travelzoo also sometimes has specials worth looking at - esp since April isn't high season yet.

Look at betterbidding.com, they have a calender feature where you plug in a range of dates and you can see the reported wins.
