Priceline . com - Anyone Used This Service for Air Tickets?
I just learned of this web site today in reading Conde Nast. What you do is tell them what fare you want to pay, dates of travel, destination and they come back (within an hour supposedly) with tickets per your request. Sounds good EXCEPT you have to give them your credit card # with your request and if they find what you requested, the tickets are immediately charged NO REFUNDS. Just wondering if anyone has tried this and how did you like it?

come into www.eurotrip.com and click on discussion boards/cheapflight forum. Scroll down about a week back and look for the priceline thread. There were several answers from people on this subject. <BR>

Tricia: Thanks much for the tip. I looked at the site, as you suggested, and it was very informative! I also found some other good tips (even though it's a site for European travel). I don't know about Priceline . . .

I became addicted to priceline.com. I submitted so many requests it made my head spin. None of them came through. I asked for prices above what I saw available on travelocity.com and they couldn't even match them. What most don't know about Priceline.com is that many airlines don't participate (ie sell tickets to priceline). There's no incentive for them to. For now, I'm sticking with the regular routes. Priceline's going to have to prove to me that they can actually find bargains. They haven't yet.

In addition, if I'm not mistaken, you leave them your information and within one hour before the flight leaves is when you are called.Hence, you are left sitting there wondering if you will be called that day and if you are going to make it to the airport in time. Check in alone is one hour ahead of time.
