President's week vacation with teen - Tucson and ???
Looking for ideas for a president's week vacation. We'd like to combine it with Tucson (grandma visit). We've already done GC, LV, Pheonix and Santa Fe combos.
We're looking for somewhere warm, beach would be a plus. It does not have to be driving distance to Tucson, a direct flight would be fine.
Any suggestions?

We had a GREAT time at the Desert Botanical Museum (I don't think this is exactly the right name for it). Really beautifully planned, right in the desert. Lots of desert animals to see, interesting exhibits. Really a living museum. We also got tickets to visit the Karchner Caverns. A living bat cave that is unique. I would Google these places and check them out to see if your family would enjoy them. We all REALLY did and highly recommend both places.

That would be the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. That, and Kartchner Caverns, are definitely two of the top "must-sees" in southern Arizona.
For a beach trip, it would be about 4 hours to Rocky Point (Puerto Penasco) in Mexico
For a whole list of other things to see and do around Tucson, visit my online list, complete with clickable links:

We've actually been to Tucson several times, and have visitin gthe senora museum and several other tourist stops. We are just going there to visit Grandma.
We'd like to combine it with another interesting place, where we can do some sight-seeing.

It's been a while since I lived in Tucson but they used to have quite a few direct flights to Mexico that weren't expensive - so as long as you're going to Tucson, you might want to check out the cost of going to a beach in Mexico for a few days.

WHich beach? The one mentioned in Mike's post, Rocky Pt, is too cold to swim in February. If we do combine Tucson with somewhere else I'd want to keep it withing hte 3 hr timeframe for travelling (including any driving and/or flying).
