prescription drugs
 

When traveling I tend to put my prescriptions and vitamins,etc. into tiny envelopes for each day so that I don't have to think about it. When going out of the country (Bermuda this time) does that cause any problems? Do they have to be in the bottles that identify the drugs? How about tylenol, etc.? Strange question, I know, but Hope someone will answer. Thanks.

Not as long as you carry a "written Rx" with you signed by your doctor or pharmacist.

Since you are going to another country right now, with the security searches that may, nor may not happen, you would be wiser to take the pills in their original bottles. Take your little envelopes along and do your separating after you get to your hotel. JMHO.

Yes, it does make a difference. When traveling outside of the country, you need to carry any prescriptions in their original vial. I always have our pharmacist give me a small vial with a label so I don't have to carry the huge container that some antibiotics come in.

I was wondering the same thing. I am on fertility drugs with syringes, needles, etc. We are going to Aruba, does anyone know if these will be allowed carry on?

I just returned from a trip and was concerned about taking my insulin, syringes, etc. on the plane with me due to the new security measures. I spoke with the American Diabetes Assoc. and American Airlines. While each airport may be different, I was advised to travel with the original packaging of all of my medication that had the Rx slip, with my name on it, attached. I was told that the original Rx from the doctor was not necessary (i.e., it could be forged anyway, so it wouldn't help). That's what I had with me, but when I went through security no one asked me a thing! Better safe than sorry though.
