Pre or Post Cruise Itinerary.
Either after or before an Inside Passage Cruise that starts or ends in Seward, our choice (approx. July 2018) we would like to do the following splurge activities taking approx. 4 - 5 nights for all, if possible. Note our gateway airport for arrival or departure will be Anchorage. We would like advice about the most efficient sequence of the activities below. We are in our 60's and can rent a car. This will be our one and only visit to Alaska. Suggestions of excursion operators and transportation options for these exact activities would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
1. Katmai or equivalent viewing of bears catching fish (from Homer?)
2. Kenai Fjords Small Boat day tour (from Seward?)
3. Helicopter to a glacier for dog-sledding (from Girdwood?)

1. For bear viewing, there's no need to travel to Homer; there are several operators in Anchorage, for example Rust's at Lake Hood - http://www.flyrusts.com/ - offers bear and other flightseeing possibilities, including Denali. They have a calendar showing bear viewing options by month.
2. The Kenai Fjords tours all depart from Seward. Just go there the day or two before your cruise departs or after it arrives. There are several reputable operators.
3. There are also glacier dog sled tours out of Seward. Seavey's Ididaride - https://ididaride.com/tours/ - is probably the best known.
