Pre cruise hotel downtown Miami
 

My friend is staying at Clarion Hotel & Suites downtown Miami before our cruise. They are all booked. Can anyone suggest a hotel in walking distance to the Clarion that's not to expensive. (200.00) How about The Courtyard Marriott Downtown. It is in my price range.

Yes - this would be within walking distance although not a particularly attractive walk. Other options are the Hyatt (closer) and the Sheraton (slightly farther).

Yes. The Courtyard is virtually next door. Unless you can happen to get a rate rate at Hyatt (Senior rate, for example) it is probably your best bet. The Hyatt is adjacent also. If I remember right that Courtyard is quite new.

I stayed at the Hyatt downtown before my cruise for $81/night (Orbitz). However, this was in early May, which I don't believe is peak season. I'm not sure when your trip is, but keep your eye out for deals. Travelzoo.com, quikbook.com and smarterliving.com might be of help.

Thanks so much everyone. The Hyatt is also booked. I will try the Sheraton, but I think they may be out of my price range. So I guess it will be the Courtyard.
Oh,by the way, of course we are going Presidents week. Nothing like waiting until the last minute!!
