There is a problem with posting replies to messages. It is taking a long time and sometimes doesn't work at all. Anyone else having this?

I was having that problem in a big way...and then suddenly it stopped. So I don't know what changed! Good luck!

I had that same problem - are you using AOL? If you are, fodors was/is having trouble w/aol. I now access fodors through MS Internet Explorer, it solved the problem!

Boy, cleaning out my cookies file REALLY helped! Of course, I have to login again to Fodor's, etc., but a small price to pay.

Cleaning out my temp files took care of the problem in the past for me.

Please bear with me as I am rather computer illiterate.

I have Microsoft XP and uses Internet Explorer. I went to Dell's help site to find out how to delete cookies. I followed its instructions:
1. Go to Tools on IE
2. Click Internet Options
3. On the "General" page, click "Delete Cookies"

I have done so, but when I click on "settings" (next to "delete cookies"), and then "view files", I can see that there are still tons of files.

So, my question is: should I also click "Delete Files" as well to get rid of the files? Or is it good enough by clicking "Delete Cookies"?

thanks for your help.

yes I just had 3 attempts at posting a reply to the airlines post. I also had similar problems yesterday. I do not use AOL and clear my cookies file every few days.

I've been having weird things happen lately- like just now I replied to a post, and when it posted (which took like two minutes) it only had my last sentence; my other sentences were deleted. Never had that happen before. It couldn't haev been "instant editing" as there was nothing in it to edit.

Dilly, I just had the same problem when trying to reply to this, lol, so I guess that answers one question. And no AOL here. For your other, yes, click on delete files and make sure you check the box for offline content. This will erase any stored passwords in your computer so make sure you have them handy somewhere.

This is strange. I posted a reply to another thread and when I went back later to look at it, my reply wasn't there. Now here's the weird part...when I go to "post a reply" I can see my post! Go figure.
