glad to help, also beware blaming a biker for inoccently breaking your leg, while rushing to work on the bike path of the Brooklyne Bridge!

This thread is helpful for travelers to NYC or rather for NYers who have to deal with what is mentioned above while going about their daily lives. The same goes for Chicago. Travelers are distracted and cause problems on busy sidewalks and streets, especially at the holidays. Walking 5 or 6 abreast and also stopping in the middle of the traffic flow on sidewalks to read a map or text are my biggest issues. Thanks IMD for posting these helpful reminders.

Like most things in life, the person who needs it least, is the one who is most attentive. Happy You are welcome. Even older NY'ers are obsessed with their electronic devices, as if they won the Publishers Clearing House jackpot, since the last time they looked on the previous block. Inaka I live near the Hell's Angels HQ in the East Village, and the average Citibiker is by far a greater threat to society. |
"Besides childish passive/aggressive carping does anyone have anything of value to add?"
Oh, you mean besides your original post? I will say I wish I had a dollar for every NYC local going up or down subway steps who stopped dead on their cell phone and I ran into them. |
As a soon to be tourist, and someone who gets frustrated when the unwritten laws of my own small town are violated, I appreciate this.

Thank you Oztral.

Anyone who will be in NY for Thanksgiving, can guess who will sitting at the children's table.

Sorry, not every adult is a mean old grump.

Newbe, do you have anything constructive to add? Anything? I thought not. So brush your teeth and go to sleep, you missed the the school bus this morning.
