According to legal council this thread could be construed as beach advertisement. Therefore I have been advised to decline mentioning quiet beautiful beaches often overlooked by the masses as well as beaches frequently visited by blue book holders on a 10 minute treasure hunt of must seize.

That said, I like the dog barking, shhhh, dont' tell the red sand, polifryfish, wash that man right outta my little makarena manelebellie, hippie beach crossing delancy to get to my little cave, save the hound from the surf beaches, the very best.

Omerta Beach on the Hellhole.

I, too, like Makena and Big Beach on Maui.

Also really liked 20-mile beach on Molokai--mostly because it was so quiet:

We just returned from a week on Oahu and I can't get enough of Lanikai beach...

Which ever Hawaiian Beach I happen to be on, wish it was now.

"Nurse Beach", Kauai.

Poipu, Kauai.

Barking Sands, Kauai.

Can someone help me out with the name of the beach we went to on Maui - in Wailea right in front of all the big hotels where the path runs along the ocean? The name escapes me. We had some good snorkeling there.

Volcano - Elua.

GyypieLou! Loved your post - hilarious.

Iamq - I don't want to list my favorites, either. The beaches get crowded enough as it is and the blue book sure doesn't help. Regardless, ALOOOOOOOOHA, Dude! ((H))

iamq Oct 10th, 2008 03:41 PM

Burned my blue books years ago.

Okay, the funk has lifted and I take back everything.

Makua sucks.
Big Beach sucks.
Hamoa sucks even more, and Hanalei Bay REALLy sucks, especially down by the horrible, run-down, undesirable/seedy character infested pier. HIDEOUS!

The best beaches aren't in Hawaii after all, they are in Florida. Go to Florida...please?

iamq

thankfully you finally snapped out of it. Hawaii is far far away, dark, rooster infested expensive with crappy food and dismal chances of enjoying a true tropical paradise dream.

This mo' bettah'

gyppie, you have a way of straightening (so to speak) me out. And thanks TTes for not sharing...that woke me up too, LOL!

Those Hawaiian beaches are so awful they don't even have white sand! Brown sand is so, so, so dirty!

gyppielou Oct 10th, 2008 05:24 PM

red sand stains

bad

cheers ttess!

iamq Oct 10th, 2008 05:50 PM

The red sand isn't even sand! It is made pebbles that are hard on the tootsies and other exposed parts of the body (This is THE red sand beach, afterall).
