Post Ranch Inn, Big Sur, California

Staying here in April for the weekend. I've been to Ventana (across the road) before, and only eaten dinner at PRI. Any comments or tips on making the most of the experience? Thanks-

What room category are you staying in? I've stayed in the mountain house, the butterfly rooms and the treehouses. If you are in a butterfly room, go for the upper unit facing away from the restaurant.

There is a new basking pool down towards the end of the property in a very secluded spot. I've seen pictures and it looks wonderful.

They are building new rooms along the hillside to the left of the restaurant near the older basking pool.

Get a massage! The massage therapists are excellent.

After dinner join the astronomer on the deck to view the planets and the stars.

Take one their Lexus convertibles for a spin down the coast.
