Post Ranch Inn and Sea Ranch Photos

I've got some spare time on my hands these days so I've been going through my old photo files and found these.

For rugged coastline views and miles and miles of hiking trails, it's hard to beat The Sea Ranch on the Sonoma Coast.

Post Ranch Inn is still my favorite place to go for that "splurge" weekend or special occasion.

Bill - I'm looking out over the place where you took your great pics as I write.

It is gorgeous here today - one of the few days a year we have no fog and no wind. It might even get up to 70 on the coast!

Well, I have to go. Hubby and I are off to walk that beautiful bluff top trail.

Hey, Bill, loved the Post Ranch photos. I was just looking at Post Ranch because we're doing a road trip up to Oregon this summer instead of our usual Europe trek, and I thought, well, let's see what the cost is THESE days. . . . ouch! And we're both professionals, and I'm still saying ouch! So I ask you, what is it about Post Ranch Inn that says this is where I splurge? (I need something to give to my husband!)

Bill & lisa-
We headed to Bodega Bay Sunday as we were certain to melt if we stayed here.
Took a lovely long walk at Salmon Creek State Beach-no fog by 7 PM and just a little wind. Perfect !

Bill-do you have a link for your STJ ?

surfergirl,
Post Ranch Inn. Ouch is right! As return guests, we get these coupons every year about November to use for midweek two night stays unitl the end of April at around 40% off. What makes this place so special to me is not the rooms, the spa or the pool (well, maybe the basking pool), but it is the property and the land itself. It is an amazing piece of land and the way it has been developed is remarkable. It matches the "vibe" in Big Sur to a "T". The views are unbelievable. We usually go in February or April when fog is not an issue. I guess we've lucked out because we've always had sunny and warm weather in the high 60's and low 70's. We had friends go in July and fork out $$$$ for the Ocean House room and they never did get to see the ocean! If you don't end up staying there, at least stop in on your way north and have lunch or just ask for a tour of the property.

razzle,
Her is the link to my report:

Will definitely check it out. I didn't know you could! Thanks so much -- maybe I can catch that vibe, since that's what Big Sur always does to me just being there.

razzle,
I hear ya! I needed to remodel my relationship with Martin after our kitchen remodel. It almost did us in! Yiiiiiikes. Once those dominoes start falling, it's hard to get them to stop.
It will all be worth it though, trust me!
