tomfuller--I love South Twin! We have been going there since the late 60's. I didn't mention it here as I thought it might be too far out for them, distance wise. Anyway, lots of wonderful memories!

Campsites are BOOKED! We ended up reserving spots at Crater Lake Resort (private campground) because there were no reserved spots at Mazama for our nights, but hope to arrive there and score a same-day site. Willing to pay the lost fee for the other place to be right in the park. We're also going to take the boat trip around Crater Lake since we're hiking down to swim. The boat company guy thought I was crazy when I said I wanted to swim, but the NPS site says it's legal, just cold, so we're in business.

Staying at Trillium Lake, Paulina Lake, Crater Lake (2 nights), Sunset Bay State Park (2 nights), Jedediah Smith, and Humboldt Woods. We can't wait to explore lava flows, lakes, rivers, the coast, and GIANT trees!!

Thanks for everything and I'll be sure to file a trip report!
