Portsmouth - Holiday Inn or Hampton Inn

Has anyone stayed at either one of these hotels? Can you tell me which one is nicer?

The Sheraton Harborside is the nicest hotel in Portsmouth. It is in the downtown area. Nice location, within short walking distance to downtown and across the street from a harbor. Boats leave for exursions to the Isle of Shoals from the harbor (down the Piscataqua River and out to the ocean). The Holiday Inn is on a busy interstate highway. The Hampton Inn is on the outside of Portsmouth (near a mall). If I were stay at either one, I would chose the Hampton Inn. But my first choice would be the Sheraton.

Thanks. I believe the Sheraton is a little on the pricer side, but I will check. Anyone else have any comments?

My husband and I stayed at the Sise Inn, a Victorian B&B. The breakfast was nothing special but the inn was cute, relaxed, relatively inexpensive. It had parking and was within walking distance of the main shopping/dining area (if it's not too cold out).

Have stayed at the Hampton Inn several times and it is a nice Hampton Inn. The Sheraton is overpriced and not that nice for the $$. The seacoast area does not have "inexpensive" lodging!
