Portland shopping

Tami, there's no Bon in Portland, alas. Take a day trip to Eugene, do some sightseeing, and then go to the store at the Valley River Center (most shopping centers are in boring areas, but VRC backs up against the Willamette River and if you walk to the river from the Bon, there's a foot bridge over to a pretty park on the other side). In Portland, try Meier and Frank or Nordstrom's, or even Saks (the staff there are very helpful and can give you store suggestions if they don't have what you're looking for). Another store worth checking out is the wearable art gallery next to the Real Mother Goose (a very high quality crafts store, not a kids' store) on 10th. The wearable art gallery has all kinds of unique, one of a kind clothing and you might find something very special there.
