Portland, Or restaurants.

Here for 2 days 6/5 and 6/6. Any suggestions for great new restaurants. Went to Stella Tacos on Division last night. Very good.

Ken & Zuke's Jewish Deli about 3 blocks south of Powell's Books. It's across the street from the Mark Spencer.

I want someone from Fodor's to try Andina and tell me if it's as great as our friends say it is Truly, three couples we know have been there and can't stop talking about it. Mine isn't a personal recommendation, we have yet to go, but it gets good reviews. We're going back in August and will surely end up there.

I'm with you, NewbE. I live in the Portland area and have been to Andina 3 - 4 times, the 2nd - 4th trying to figure out what I was told I was missing. Finally gave up. We dine out fairly often, but not so much that I want to waste a meal.

Perhaps you've seen this list from pdx.eater, nanabee. It's a good one, and regularly updated, so you might also find older versions on their site: https://pdx.eater.com/maps/best-portland-restaurants-38. We've been to probably 15 of the currently listed places, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend any of them, so I feel pretty good saying those we haven't been to are also good. Pdx.eater also publishes a list of the hottest restaurants in town, which might be of interest too.

Have you been to Pok Pok? Thai street food. Or how about Ava Genes? Italian, specializing in pasta made in-house. Good stuff.

We've enjoyed La Moule's sister restaurant St. Jack's, so I'm betting on a good report.

Yum I love home made pasta! We thought about Pok Pok, but decided with two children the line was too long and they needed to be home early for bedtime. La Moule was excellent, service a little slow, but overall great. Thanks so much.

I don't know if it is a new restaurant, but we went to Bamboo Sushi while out there in December. It was fantastic and great if you are out for a sushi dinner.

Bamboo Sushi according to my daughter (who lives here) is THE best. But very crowded and we had two kids in tow who needed to get to bed somewhat early for school the next day.
