Portland Inn City Center Hotel

We will be in Portland Aug 22 & 23. Most hotels are booked. POVA has Portland Inn City Center for a pretty cheap price. So cheap, I am wondering how it is. Anyone stay there? I need a place for under $200 night.
Thanks!

I think that used to be a Day's Inn and that it is a bit down-market. If you check at tripadvisor.com I believe you'll find the Sheraton is a better (if not great) choice. The $160 at the Sheraton includes breakfast and parking.

hi seremarcus:
Last week I booked a room at the Hotel Monaco (was 5th Ave. Suites) in downtown Portland and was quoted well over $200 per night. I was give a great discount ($188/night) when I said I was member of AAA.

Hotel Monaco and the Sheraton have no rooms on the days I will be there. After reading the reviews of the Sheraton, I would have second thoughts on the place. I guess I will have to look in the suburbs....

then you might check Kennedy School (McMennimens) near Killingsworth and 33rd in NE. I've stayed there and really have enjoyed it. It is more "suburban" but still close to the downtown area.
