Polynesian Cultural Center
Planning to visit in June 2004. Leaning towards purchasing just a general admission ticket which does not include night show. Have 2 kids ages 11 and 12 and thought skipping night show not a big miss. Savings in total would be about $50. Thought about skipping because can't afford preferred seating and by looking at their website it appears if you're not up close, show becomes boring for kids. THOUGHTS?

I would do the same as you. We've found that visiting the villages and interacting with the students/performers the best part of the PCC experience. The night show is nice, but it can make for a REALLY long day, especially considering the long drive out there.

Now........ here comes the *traveling without kids* perspective. My sister and I went for the whole day/shebang at PCC. We felt the evening show was worth the price of the ticket, LOVED IT, and could have done without the villages, crafts, etc. The dinner buffet was just okay, but the evening show was DAZZLING!

Oh, yes, sis and I did not drive out there. We took a shuttle from our Waikiki hotel, loved not having to worry about the driving, parking, etc. Next time I would go just for the dinner and the evening show, BTW.

We also just did the dinner and night show. I think spending the entire day there would be too much time.
