Pololu or Waipio Valley RIde?
 

We only have time on the Big Island for one riding activity and we're having trouble deciding between the Hawaii Forest and Trail mule ride into Pololu Valley or the Na'alapa horse ride into Waipio Valley. Has anyone done both of these or have any comments? I have a 10 and 17 year old, if that matters...

Have not been down into the Polulu Valley but have stayed in Waipio and would not hesitate to recommend Na'alapa Stables. They run a good operation (and your kids will love the actual trip down into the valley in a 4-wheel drive. It's definitely an E-ticket ride. My kids loved it. I dbl-checked that my seat belt was fastened.) and the Valley is really a magical and beautiful spot. Both valleys have important histories. Check with both outfits about age limits. Some limit children under 12.
