Pointe Sout Mountain Resort in Phoenix

Has anyone stayed there? Apparently it is new, all suite and has a great looking waterpark on site which I know my kids would love. Would love to get some feedback on this place. Thanks.

I have stayed there three times in the early and mid-90's. it is a great hotel, the rooms are all suites and the amenities are top-notch. you'll enjoy your stay there... i say go for it.

I stayed there this past February. However, it is not new. The rooms are nice size but I wasn't that crazy about the resort in general. I didn't think any of the restaurants were good and nothing was easy to get to. I prefer Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs.

You're confusing this place with something else.
This is not a new hotel.

It was owned by Hilton for many years from the mid 1980's at least.

It is a big convention hotel/resort.
Rooms are pretty standard business type quality, similar to a Hilton business hotel, not as nice as a Hyatt, better than a Hampton Inn.

Unless they've knocked down all the walls in the whole place, I'm not sure how they claim it's an all-suite hotel.
It didn't used to be.

Makes me wonder if they're all "big regular rooms with a small sofa in the corner" type suites.

When I was there earlier this year, it was for a meeting. To my knowledge, everyone did have suites (a separate bedroom with a door) so the size of the rooms was nice. Yet I still wouldn't recommend it. I also didn't care for where it was located.
