Pod 39 or La Quinta Manhattan mid July ?
 
Price is pretty much the same, Just me for a few days, after the 4th of July. Is it a toss up? Insights welcomed~~

What kind of room at the POD? Some have bunk beds and shared baths.

Pod is young, a step up from a hostel but new. La Quinta room will be bigger but grandmotherly. I've just suggested some others in your other thread. Have a look at photos on oyster.com
