Poconos romance
 

Hi! Husband & I are travelling from Michigan to Maine to visit brother. Thinking of stopping in Poconos for few days to relax. Any suggestions of resorts, etc?

Stayed at Paradise Stream about 15 years ago. Don't know how it has changed, but I'm sure they have an 800 # you can probably get a brochure with photos, or find out of they have a web site. It may have been a Ceasers resort.

We stayed at the Inn at the Old Mill Stream in Hawley,PA. a year ago.It has a fantastic setting right on a rocky creek with waterfalls. Multi-leveled decks overlooking the falls for dining, cosy indoor dining too.

Do not, I repeat, Do not stay at the Mt. Scary Lodge, (Mt. Airy Lodge) went there for my honeymoon 5 years ago. My parents had gone there 33 years prior. It was a complete joke, a horror show. The area is beautiful, we went and checked out the Caesars resort which was really nice but more expensive. You don't say when you are going on this trip. I'm going to assume sometime during the summer. My suggestion is to stop in Niagara Falls, there is alot to do, and it's a great area. Go over to Canada and go to Niagara-on-the-Lake, quaint little town, really cute. Or stop in NY state, there are many great places around the finger lakes. I was really let down by the Poconos. Another option, Cape May - Fantastic!!!!!

We stayed at Brookdale 12 years ago. It was a Caesers resort. We like the peaceful lake and quiet. It was in May so we about had the place to ourselves. We had the honeymoon champagne towers with the champagne shaped whirlpool, round bed & private swimming pool. It was $$ but it was a one time thing. I would love to go back & stay in one of the cabins. Good luck
