Hi, I have been to the poconos a few times. It is pretty lame The only reason I go back is because I live so close. Most of the hotels/resorts have not been updated since the 70's.

Hi agree with Chrissy. Went on my honeymoon to the Mount Airy Lodge since my parents went there in 58', oh boy! What a tacky run-down place! We did drive over to the Caeser's Resort amd toured it, and while quite beautiful, and definately more upscale, I can't see spending $350-425 a day. The only thing I wanted to do was take a bubble glass in the champagne wine glass. There isn't much to do in the area. We did spend a day at Bushkill Falls, which was quite nice, but were very disappointed overall. Go to Cape May, not only is it much nicer in every way, there is much more to do, and Atlantic City is less than an hour away, if you get bored.

cher,

I live outside Phila. and totally agree w/Chrissy and Falsino. There are many excellent honeymoon destinations far superior than the Poconos. Cape May (I second that)has been mentioned. You may want to consider the Brandywine area, St. Michaels, MD or even Bucks County, PA. There are some wonderful Inns in VA, as well. Think you may want to reconsider.
