PNC Park ~ convenient hotel?

Hello, we're considering a Pittsburgh visit to include a Pirates game and the Andy Warhol Museum.
Would anyone have hotel recommendation in the >$200 range?

Read about the Roberto Clemente Bridge and would like to take that gameday walk!

Thanks for any advice,

We stayed at the Hampton Inn Greentree. Not close to the ballfield and the museum but they had a free and convenient shuttle that we used for access to both. Game goers used the bridge! Free parking at the hotel was a big plus and we did not have to deal with city traffic on our way out, headed to Falling Water.

I would want to stay at the Sheraton Station Square. The Gateway Clipper is right there and you can take the boat to/from the game. There is also a light rail station at Station Square on the line that goes to the North Side for Andy Warhol Museum or PNC Park. If you really want to walk the bridge then you could use the rail for the rest of the trip. Or it is about a 1.5 mile walk.

The hotel has a happy hour on the rooftop deck before games. There would be great views of the city from there.

I stayed there in a club floor room, on one of the top two floors with a spectacular river view. A high floor on that side is a good idea because there is a railroad just below (coal train).

I've stayed that Hampton Inn in Greentree several times. It is a typical Hampton Inn. I stayed there one time for three nights. I later responded to the Hilton survey and mentioned that the towels were musty smelling. They credited my card for the cost of one night as compensation. You could stay there and drive into the city and park at Station Square, or downtown.

Thanks so much for these suggestions - I had not even considered hotels having shuttles or the "Clipper."
More research for me; thank you!

We stayed at the Holiday Inn on 10th st. Nothing fancy but the room was really nice. You have to request a room on the city side to get a beautiful view of downtown.

Don't miss the Incline near Station Square. Beautiful view of the city.

There are several new hotels next to PNC Park, and a few new ones just over the Clemente bridge.

Greentree and 10th St were, at one time, good choices, but you can now get more options that are very convenient.

My husband works in a building beside PNC Park, and suggests

Hyatt Place (next to park)
Residence Inn by Marriott
Springhill Suites by Marriott
(both of those are directly across the street)
HI Express (around the corner)

Over the Clemente Bridge:
Renaissance Pgh (best views)
Westin Convention Center

There are some hotels along Penn Ave, within easy walking distance of the Clemente Bridge.

Try the maps on booking.com or hotel.com

adding the Courtyard Marriott on Penn Ave.

I would stay nearer the PNC Park or Downtown.

Appreciate these additional responses ~ thanks!
We had been thinking two nights but now think a longer visit to do justice to this City may be better.

A visit to the Strip District during the day is a lot of fun. Mostly food shops and eateries, closed on Sunday. Very close to PNC Park. Easy Uber or even bus ride, although our bus service isn't great.

Also on the North Side, besides PNC Park and the Warhol, are The Mattress Factory (installation art and garden), the casino (haven't been myself), the National Aviary, and the freaky and fascinating St Anthony's Chapel, with one of the world's largest collections of reliquaries.

Lots of restaurants all over. Nightlife in Lawrenceville, plus restaurants (I like Senti).

Pittsburgh is a good Uber town if you aren't driving.
