plymouth, ma-- good places to have a beer
will be spending a week in a rented property on manomet beach (7 or so miles south of plymouth)near the end of october. was wondering if there are any good spots not too far away to spend a few evenings drinking beer with the locals.
our group is in their twenties and game for any and all suggestions. thanks |
I had A Chocolate Martini at a place called Isaac's.
Right on the water in Plymouth Great chicken caesar too. Cheriberry |
The British Beer Company. We have not been to the ones in Plymouth, but have been the 2 on Cape Cod. DH loves beer and these places have great selections of beer, great food and fun atmosphere. I think their website is www.britishbeer.com. I believe there are 2 locations in Plymouth.

Don't know if there is a 99 in Plymouth but they are always a reliable place to hang out from Thurs. - Sun. Usually lots of locals.

I googled 99; there is one in Plymouth. It is located on "Home Depot Drive" so I'm assuming the location is not exactly scenic. Also for Tanda's info, 99's are the New England version of a Fridays or Bennigans....not there is anything wrong with that, especially if you are spending a week in one town. However, it is more of a family eatery (with a bar) rather than a a bar (that serves food).

Hey Larry
Thanks for taking the time to google the 99 for tanda. I have one within walking distance of my home and one of my children happens to bartend there. So I usually see lots of people I know and always find someone to talk to at the bar. I do however realize that it isn't really a hangout. Still any port in a storm if you find yourself in need of a cold beer and a Red Sox or Patriots game. |
Cabby Shack on the waterfront is a great place. Also, British Beer Company is a good suggestion.

thanks again for the help
