Hey Buffalo Gang! Just wanted to drop a note and let you know that sadly we are leaving the area. The company DH worked for decided to close down the entire site so with no other job prospects in the area, it's been a busy time for us: Staged. Listed FSBO. Sold. Packed. Moved.

I wanted to say thx a mint for ALL your help in getting us established here, I re-read them and they were such wonderful, informative and welcoming posts.

Even tho I dreaded the winters, we loved living here. We were lucky and ended up in a really good area with neighbors who knew each other well enough to watch out for one another, but not so much that they were in everyone else's business.

Thx a mint for the good wishes. We actually don't know where we're headed...LOL! We boxed up most everything and put it into 10x20 storage - the insurance on it is as much as the storage rental cost! It's a "perfect storm" with a family member just being diagnosed with bad stuff so in the short term I'll be heading there to provide day-to-day care/support. We'll figure out the next part of our journey after I've arrive and can assess.

We're still not sure where we're headed as I continue to provide temporary elder care on the West Coast right now. However, I am already missing what would be my upcoming visit to Pumpkinville and the wonderful fall of the Northeast, including a great drive out to Letchworth.
