I live just an hour north, have been too many times to count and am looking for wonderful things to do, things to see that I may have missed!!

My family moved there in 1969, but (incredibly) it wasn't til a couple years ago that I bothered to drive Camino Cielo Drive. *IF* the day is clear, the views are spectacular; at some turn offs you can see past the Channel Islands AND into Cachuma Lake region. I wanted to kick myself for all the years I never bothered to drive up there.

If it's cloudy or hazy, don't bother.

Perfect! I have seen that sign so many times and wondered what was up there! :) Hopefully it will be clear on my Friday afternoon and we can go on our way from SB to Grappolo's in Santa Ynez! Thanks!

Haven't been there in awhile, but I really liked the botanical gardens and a very small park in Monticito (with tennis courts)--can't remember the name, but I doubt there are many parks with tennis courts in Monticito (not even sure if I'm spelling that right).
