Please help LA to Vancouver in Winter!
 

We are planning a road trip LA to Vancouver, myself husband and two boys (13,16)I need particular advice on LA. Last time my husband and I were there everything we possesed after 4month trip was stolen.I know apart from the Boeing factory and San Francisco this will be the boys must see place where as I'm dreading it. Any other tips gratefully accepted especially as we live in the tropics!!

We have a month for the whole trip, accomodation in LA just a general good location nothing too swanky but decent. We are giving the theme parks a miss done already in Florida.

I often recommend Holiday Inn Bel Air for tourists but with 4 persons you'll probably want two queen beds instead of two doubles. Seaspritemotel.com or seaviewinnatthebeach if you want something oceanside...

For San Francisco, ColumbusMotorInn has some larger family rooms as well as parking that is included in the room rate.

What time of year is your trip?

arrive mid November to mid December only time all leave co-ordinated.
