Mommmm! Starrsville won't tell us how to make colorrrsssss!

kswl Jul 8th, 2006 08:45 AM

<nameofcolor> word <nameofnewcolor> nextword

We discovered the basic color names. Until JAGIRL's question, I didn't realize there were more options.

I am experimenting. Some color names work. Some don't.

emd Jul 8th, 2006 08:55 AM

Hey guys, people are still posting on this thread, and I think a lot of people have benefited from it, so maybe you could start a different thread to experiment with your coloring?

emd Jul 8th, 2006 09:05 AM

kswl, that is an amazing story, even worse than my husband's! So there you go, not having a passport could mean the nobel prize. You never know. I think everyone should have a passport, and not an expired one.

I suspect we are not the only ones with travel-challenged spouses. I am sure there are wives out there who are travel-challenged and whose spouses suffer through the bad times w/them like this. And I bet your son learned a valuable lesson too.

TravelTess Jul 8th, 2006 09:16 AM

emd - Congratulations on your success! I'm so relieved for you. It's a lesson for not only your husband but your son.

It appears that this thread is getting hijacked with others' discussions...too distracting.

starrsville Jul 8th, 2006 09:50 AM

Yes ma'ams. I am sorry. (Just got carried away). No more colors or hijacking.

LoveItaly Jul 8th, 2006 10:00 AM

That is interesting The Weasel. It has been so long since I obtained my SS card I can't remember what I had to provide. Just out of curiosity I am going to check with my daughter regarding her sons replaced sscard etc.
Hopefully he has taken care of that, lol.

BayouGal Jul 8th, 2006 10:25 AM

LoL! You guys are hilarious with the colors. It's fun, but it takes so long that it is one of those things you won't find yourself doing very often.:)

Here's the link to the colors I have been using, but there are many other lists online: http://www.web-source.net/216_color_chart.htm

Jagirl ~ yeah, but mine is a prettier shade!!!!! ;-) Just teasing . . .

BayouGal Jul 8th, 2006 10:29 AM

Sorry, emd. I'll silence my "colors."

emd Jul 8th, 2006 10:43 AM

You all will get a kick out of this- it is 2:40, we are supposed to leave to take the husband and son to the airport in 5 min., and I just overheard my husband making a B&B reservation on the phone for Monday night in Ireland. And he is still packing.

I'll be glad to wish them a happy trip as I wave goodbye at the airport...(after I make sure he has the passports and tickets!)

BayouGal Jul 8th, 2006 10:46 AM

God bless you, emd! You must be a saint, or the most patient woman in the world! LoL ;-)

seetheworld Jul 8th, 2006 10:47 AM

emd, I can see it now, dear husband has his ticket and passport pined to his shirt, lol. :D

starrsville Jul 8th, 2006 10:48 AM

You need to stop either to get a drink or at a spa on the way home from the airport. You are indeed a saint!

seetheworld Jul 8th, 2006 10:50 AM

Well that should read "pinned", but was posting fast 'cause my DH just walked in the door. Gawd knows I don't want the spelling police after me, lol. :)

starrsville Jul 8th, 2006 10:51 AM

Psst! They are already heading over from the other thread! :-)
