Please, Don't get hung up on spelling!!

Is this a travel question? HECK NO! I just can't get over how people will respond back to questions with......"What's this or that mean?"
When they clearly know what the person is talking about. Do you have to get that mad about it? BE HAPPY & get mad here, not in an area that is trying to find out some needed information. Thanks!

Was this post truely necessary?

Waht?

Webbie Sep 4th, 2000 05:19 PM

You MISSPELLED truly (not truely) "notme".
There. Got that out of my system as per "Me's" wishes.

Should sloppy spelling be tolerated any more than sloppy manners? It makes a statement about the author.

Spelling and SAYING WHAT YOU MEAN IN THE HEADER help make this a better board! I'll be glad to forgive a mistake or two in the spelling area, but it helps! And don't be vague...by San Juan, do you mean PR or Washington? It matters!

Subtle sarcasm is obviously wasted on this board.

Get a life, Me. The best of us post silly typos. The worst make an issue of same. You'd be in that group. If you have something to offer here, contribute away! Otherwise, your comments are as useless as spelling errors and typos. Have your considered "newgroups"?

I agree with Jim- example, somebody posted a a message with the header "Jamaica" on the board. Since this is the US board, I assumed the poster wanted to know about Jamaica, New York- another thriving tourist spot. And of course when most people in North America think of San Juan, they think of Washington. So please, for the benefit of Jim and myself, make your titles descriptive- no less than 100 words. Vague titles will get the worst possible treatment, i.e., Jim won't read them. You wouldn't want that to happen, right?
