Please any info on The Renaissance Lodge at Sonoma
 

Can any provide me a review on the Renaissance Lodge at Sonoma. It opened in February and would like to know if it is a 4 star property as they claim.

Don't know anything about the hotel you stated but stayed at the Sonoma Mission Inn. It is nice but very pricy. If you just need a nice room stay at the Sonoma Valley Inn.

I asked some freinds who live there and they could not beleive how expensive the place is. Sonoma Mission Inn would be better for the $.

Thanks for the reply, Gail. Did your friends mean that the room rates are too high compared to Sonoma Mission Inn or that staying at the The Lodge everything (food, spa, etc.) is too expensive? Right now I can get a cheaper room rate at the The Lodge versus Sonoma Mission Inn

I think what they meant was that many of the tourist places are REALLY expensive.Driving by and looking at this they did not realize it was a 4 Star. I am not sure what the prices are, but if they are close in cost I would go with SMI. My sister uesed to work @ SMI. They take care of the customers well.The other place is new and does not have the benefit of being established.It depends on what you are looking for in your trip.Hope this helps.P.S.Don't miss breakfast at the Secret Garden.

The same as SMI ...Highway 12. You might want to check out the web site for The Press Democrat (newspaper) and read the dining reviews. There are many wonderful places to eat out there!Do a search here on this forum as I know many places have been discussed.Hope you have a wonderful visit!
